23
¹ The oracle concerning Tyre. Wail, O ships of Tarshish, for your fortress is destroyed. When they came in from Cyprus they learned of it.
(The Book of the Prophet Isaiah Chapter 23 verse 1)
Woe to us who have made family or our career or our friendships the centre of our lives, instead of giving God His rightful place. For our fortresses will crumble and gradually come to an end if they are not built on You my God and Father Amen.
² Be still, O inhabitants of the coast, O merchants of Sidon, your messengers crossed over the sea ³ and were on the mighty waters; your revenue was the grain of Shihor; the harvest of the Nile; you were the merchant of the nations.

Be still and rest in God my Father, you asylum seekers who have crossed the mighty waters, faced great challenges in order to seek a better life abroad. God is with You Amen.
⁴ Be ashamed, O Sidon, for the sea has spoken, the fortress of the sea, saying;" I have neither labored nor given birth, I have neither reared young men nor brought up young women."

Oh brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ our father when we will all be accountable for our deeds, meaning what we did and even what we did not do that we were to do Amen.
⁵ When the report comes to Egypt, they will be in anguish over the report about Tyre.

Oh God my Father today Malta is in anguish for it has witnessed the first death of a woman of 92 years old who had the virus Covid 19 among other complications. I pray for her soul oh God my Father Amen.
⁶ Cross over to Tarshish wail, O inhabitants of the coast!

Oh brothers and sisters let us make a U-turn in our lives and turn back to Jesus Amen.
⁷ Is this your exultant city whose origin is from days of old, whose feet carried her to settle far away?

Oh God my Father You ask me to show You my security, my safe base, however, I have none but You. I thank You for my earthly mother by whom You are giving me much care and support. Amen.
⁸ Who has planned this against Tyre, the bestowed of crowns, whose merchants were princes, whose traders were the honored of the earth?

Oh God my Father You pass us through many tests throughout the course of our lives. You are not discriminate between the rich and the poor since all fall under Your judgment Amen.
⁹ The LORD of hosts has planned it-to defile the pride of all glory, to shame all the honored of the earth.

Oh God my Father we were getting to big for our boots so You permitted us to have our noses put in the dirt by sending or allowing the virus Covid-19 in the world. We needed to be shown that we are not in control of our lives, and by means of this virus You are making us aware of our weaknesses. Amen.
¹⁰ Cross over to your own land, O ships of Tarshish; this is a harbor no more.

Go away evil spirits of darkness for I am no longer a safe harbour where you can safely drop your anchor and feel welcome. The light of God is dwelling within me and where is the light darkness has no opportunity of being present Amen. Thank You Jesus. Amen.

Oh God my Father I pray for those migrants who are experiencing the bad conditions onboard the Captain Morgan vessel since they are not aloud to enter into Maltese territorial waters. I pray that a decision is taken to give them Asylum and not leave them in such conditions especially when consider that we are under a storm of strong wind and the seas are rough. Amen.
¹² He said: You will exult no longer, O oppressed virgin daughter Sidon; rise, cross over to Cyprus-even there you will have no rest.

Oh God my Father, You permit us to carry out our ways, however we also realise that our ways do not always bring us the happiness that we desire Amen.
¹³ Look at the land of the Chaldeans! This is the people; it was not Assyria, They destined Tye for wild animals. They erected their siege towers, they tore down her palaces, they made her a ruin.

Oh God my Father Yours is all Wisdom it flows from You. I give weight to Your counsel to pay heed to the history of others, in the sense of observing how others managed a given situation such as Coronavirus and other issues and learn from them in order to handle the situation even better. Amen. Thanks Jesus.
¹⁴ Wail O ships of Tarshish for your fortress is destroyed.

Wail o brothers and sisters and feel stressed when placing trust in worldly ambition and projects that today are thriving and tomorrow reach their end because they were not according to the will of God Amen.
